About Divyata
I was born in India, half Sikh and half Hindu, and raised by my loving parents. In 2013, my younger self (20 year old) moved to Vancouver Island, BC all by myself for university. I graduated as a Comp Sc Engineer, but it hasn’t been an easy journey to success. I worked in IT for RBC as a software Quality Analyst for almost 3 years. In between I did many odd jobs, as well, to get the feel of Canadian ‘hustling mode’. Who knew that this hustling would eventually open doors to Real Estate and motivate me to become a successful Realtor?
WOW! It’s been a decade and this roller coaster ride has just begun for me.
In 2020, I moved to Toronto and in 2021 I met Sahil and we got married in a very Canadian way.
P.S. I bought my first investment property on April 17, 2021 in London, ON… on my very first date with Sahil!
I wanted to explore more of Canada and so, in 2021, Sahil and I moved to Chestermere, AB from Toronto. We both bought our first home together on Kinniburgh Blvd on May 3rd, 2021.
There’s no where else to go, no where else to be. I love the mountains, the lakes, the calmness this city offers. I love the people and the vibe here in Alberta.
Being here, doing Real Estate is the best way I can carve a successful path for myself and my family.
Question & Answer
I love people. I enjoy connecting so many strangers whom I first don’t know and then in time they become so close to me in my life. Establishing relationships and nurturing them lifelong is why I choose to become a realtor.
I love exploring. Last year I visited Hawaii in September on my Honeymoon. It was spectacular. I am a very beachy, outdoorsy girl. Nature is my first love. So beautiful islands, serene places, mountains are my go to when i think of travelling.
That dogs are my weakness. They can make me cry, laugh and giggle. I love dogs.
More than buying and selling, it’s about helping families transitioning from one phase to another in their lives. My favorite part of selling RE is experiencing the joy, sharing moments of excitement and happiness with my clients in their biggest moment of this meticulous transition.
I love this question. I can think of all my favorites 🙂 I’ll start with books. My top two are : ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napolean Hill and ‘The Secret of Getting Rich’ by Wallace D Wattle. I love listening to electronic music, my favorite genres are deepchill, focus and electronic.
