Why did you become a realtor?
After 20 years in the insurance industry it was time for something new, so I decided to make a pivot! Real Estate had always been an interest, I have many friends in the business for many years who love what they do and rarely have anything negative to say about their work. I decided to make the leap and get out and do something that would be a new challenge, positive, fulfilling while allowing me to feel as though work and life can co-exist while keeping me local in my hometown of High River.
Where do you like to travel?
I have always loved travel, I spent five years as a flight attendant and was able to take advantage of many travel opportunities. I love to see new places rather than re-visit the same ones over and over. I love my day trips to the ski hill and any road trip is an adventure! I have enjoyed trips to Scotland, England, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Hawaii, Mexico and a six month trip touring through South East Asia! I am game for anywhere.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
Honestly I am pretty much an open book but I guess I would have to say that it’s not common knowledge that I cannot whistle or wink.
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?
People – building relationships is fun for me and I am passionate about making people smile. Being able to help people find their dream home or sell their house when they need to is exciting. Working on finding solutions with colleagues – collaborating to deliver what a client needs is a great reason to go to work every day!
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?
I love reading and watching crime, FBI and mystery stories as well as medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy!
